Winter time project list.....

Nobody ever reads these, so I'm not going to spend a lot of time on it.
Even though it has been extraordinarily warm the past weeks in November, I know  it's only a matter of time before real winter sets in.
I got a lot done outside during the warm spell, and really cleared up the logs and other stuff I had piled up in front of the wood shop so that it will be easier plowing snow this winter.
I have been cutting wood slices for customers for over 15 years.  Right when the rustic wedding fad came out.  I was one of the first who offered wood slices.  That's how I got started.
Now days, everybody sells wood slices, even China.
Hey, it worked great for me for years, even while I was still driving a semi truck full time, I still made it work.  It was a lot of work, but it was fun.  I love a good challenge, and bit by bit I saved up enough from sales to buy a pretty decent wood shop and band-saw.
Since I am retired now, I don't feel like wrestling those big logs anymore.  There is so much competition now days, I think I'm just going to slice up the logs I have left, clean out my shop, and get to just creating stuff instead.  I want to go back to being an artist and creating things.
So, my Winter Time Project list is to cut the remaining big logs I have as space allows, maybe, and then play with my lathe, jig saw, and my new chainsaw.  I kind-of like messing around with the welder, and even got a few things to stick together.  So, I have a lot of ideas, and now I'll have time to see if I can get any of those ideas to amount to anything.
I have a new idea that a lot of people who like rustic style, will like. I haven't seen it anywhere on the internet yet.  I have had many calls from potential customers over the years requesting a quote for a product like this, but I couldn’t fulfill their orders simply because I didn’t have the right wood.  What I am thinking will make it easy for everybody, including me.
I am not going to disclose it just yet, but when I get some inventory built up, It will be all over the place, and of course other people will take my idea and run with it.
DON'T FORGET, I have been selling the E-Z Log Tenon Cutters for about 13 years now.  If you are looking for a way to make log furniture, and want a tenon cutter that adjusts to the size tenon you want, instead of buying the pencil sharpener (one size) type tenon cutters, check us out.  I have 45’s and 90’s in stock, spare blades, parts if you lose a screw, and all you have to do is go to https://www.rusticwoodworking.com and check it out.  Kits are available too.

I'll keep ya posted.
