A little about me.....and Rustic Woodworking
My name is Sandy Kronberger. I live in Carlton, MN in an old 1929 home that constantly needs fixing. I am the proprietor of Rustic Woodworking. I also started another side-business, Rustic Beads, for the little bits of wood for jewelers.
I drive an 18-Wheeler full-time, so my business is kind-of a side line for now. In a few years after I retire, my Rustic Woodworking business will become a full-time business. It is not easy making all of this work out, trucking, driving all night, getting orders, shipping, and still try to have somewhat of a life and acting like a normal person. I have never been normal. Ever. I love a good challenge. Life's too short to spend it on the couch watching TV, unless you have some really good hot buttered popcorn and a good show. I usually have a radio station going on in the background instead.
I do most of the wood harvesting, cutting, treating and drying myself on my days off from trucking. I have a small shop and am limited to how much wood I can process at a time. Summer time is great because I can store and dry wood outside under the lean-to, but during the winter everything has to get crammed into the heated shop.
I harvest trees that either blow down, fall down, die, or need to be cut because of over-head electrical wires. Some wood is obtained from people who need a tree cut down in their yard. I spent 2 weeks this summer getting 4 basswood trees from a guy's yard from an ad on Craigs List. This year, thanks to the beavers, I counted 5 trees that they chopped down on my property. One big one is ready to drop on the power line. Great fun!
I do not have a steady supplier, and do not offer anything other than what I harvest myself. This may change in the future, but for now I can only process small amounts at a time.
When the wood is cut and dried, that is when I post it for sale on the website. I will not sell or ship wet wood like some other suppliers do, and I certainly describe the species, type, sizes and condition of the products I sell. Satisfaction is guaranteed. If you are unhappy with any of my wood products you can return it for a full refund.

If you would like to try your hand at building your own log furniture, we sell the E-Z Log Tenon Cutters. These are the only tools we sell. I have tried the other types of tenon cutters, and spent a small fortune. Once I found out about the E-Z Log Tenon Cutters I had to share them. I do not make them.
