Two Handed Inshave

7-3/4" curved cutting edge of German tool-steel, 6" hardwood handles are unfinished for a nonslip grip.

The two handed inshave is used for hollowing, scraping, and scooping out concave projects like bowls or chair seats. It has a 7-3/4" curved cutting edge of German tool-steel and the 6" hardwood handles are unfinished for a nonslip grip.

Single Hand Inshave

Hand forged carbon steel, 1-3/8" blade is 4" across face with a 6-3/4" curved cutting edge.

This single hand inshave has a smaller radius cutting edge used for quick removal of excess wood on chair seats, bowls, and other concave objects. One hand use lets you secure your work piece with free hand behind the blade. Hand forged carbon steel, 1-3/8" blade is 4" across face with a 6-3/4" curved cutting edge. Honing required before use.

Wood River Adjustable Spokeshave

Threaded rods hold blade in body of plane - rods are threaded into blade and can be removed to sharpen the blade.

Spokeshaves are used to shape and smooth chair legs, wheel spokes and rods of all sorts. The WoodRiver shave is a robust casting of ductile iron featuring a high carbon RC60-64 blade and an adjustable front shoe to control the depth of cut. The heavy (1.05 lbs) cast iron body actually increases tool control, making it easier to shave with one or two hands. This, combined with the adjustable shoe for depth control will make this one of your favorite hand tools.
