The base is a slice of Black Ash that is 1-3/4" thick and about 9" in diameter. There are four plastic buttons which are nailed into the slice so that it will sit off of the counter top in the event of water spillage. The pillar is about 2-1/2" diameter. The bark has been left on the wood slice and the birch stick cup holders. Total height is 13" and will easily fit on your countertop under your cabinets. This is 4-cup holder which has been securely glued and screwed together using a timber screw. It has been sanded smooth, and then varnished with clear Polycrylic protective finish.

Five different stands for sale.

These will last a life time. Level, balanced, and very sturdy, these stands are glued and screwed to the log pillar, countersunk, and the screw hole is filled with a wood plug on the top slices so the screw is not visible. All are sanded smooth and varnished. Nice clean wood grain look. The bark has been removed from all parts so you don't have to worry about it chipping off later.

All of these stands are made from Poplar trees. These would be great for displaying a wide variety of items such as plants, baked items, jewelry displays, or would make a very special table center piece.

Wood Slice Medallion On All Christmas Log Deer

Great for indoor Christmas Decorations or any-time rustic decorations, attention-getters for store displays, etc. Drape necklaces over the deer's neck, ears, tail, or body. Screw in a few small eyelets to hang earrings. Wrap bracelets over the tail or ears.

These are made from Poplar Logs/Sticks. The light colored bark on these Deer, which is very similar to white birch, will match up with any color scheme you have going.
Each has it's own unique character.

Log Mortise and Tenon joinery.

Shipped unassembled.
Simply twist the legs, ears, tail and neck into the mortises drilled into the main body, add the head and ears and stand it up. Add the horns for the bucks. Twist and move the head and legs around until you achieve the look you want.

These will stand well without glue, so that when the holidays are over, you can disassemble and easily store them for next year's Holidays. However, if you would like to permanently keep these little guys together, just add some Elmer's glue to the joints and let dry.

Each deer comes with a Alder wood slice medallion, small red bow, and jute rope necklace. With a simple permanent marker, glitter marker, paint, wood-burning pen, or whatever, you can write onto the medallion to name your deer, provide a to/from gift tag, write your favorite saying or motto, or simply remove it and use it for something else like a Christmas ornament, keychain, necklace, or a stocking stuffer.

A great kid project too....build a deer.

between 16" to 20" in length (from nose to tail)
